"What a great introduction to sailing! My wife and I took the five-day Basic Learn-to-Cruise course with Greig in August of 2008. It was our first experience with navigating a large sailboat and was great fun as well as educational. Greig was an excellent captain and instructor. His easy-going personable style, combined with his many years of off-shore sailing were a great combination. We enjoyed top-notch hands-on training and many great sailing stories, and also had time to relax on board and on shore when moored. The boat was comfortable, the food was excellent (thanks Maria!), and the scenery was gorgeous. We both passed the course, and also got our Boat Operators Card at the same time. We have since successfully completed the Coastal Navigation course and are looking for our own boat, although we'd be happy to sail with Greig again!"

"Our cruise to the Gulf Islands was five days of sheer enjoyment under the easy-style instruction of our skipper, Greig. The raw beauty of the scenery bathed in late summer sunshine on a calm sea; flying spinnaker inside the Trincomali Channel; dropping anchor at Clam Bay where we sat on deck in the stillness at sunset, looking out at the few other boats and watching the Canada geese gather in the distance; racing another sailboat at the southern tip of Salt Spring Island; looking up at the starry skies from on deck on our last night at Degnen Bay. It was all a wonderful adventure.

"Sailing Still is like a well-trained horse - easy to ride, she rides steady, but give her a little head to wind and she'll go! Her running rigging is well laid out, with sheets easily identified in the cockpit, self-furling jib for different wind conditions, walk-thru transom for easy access to and from the tender, spacious deck and cockpit, and good-size helm area behind the wheel. The most invaluable instrument on board is the wind and speed indicator helping the person at the helm to stay on the correct point of sail and orientate the boat. Great confidence-builder and especially useful for single-handed man-overboard exercises - beam, tack, broad!
